GENERAL SUMMARY
The Director of Product Development is responsible for identifying market and customer needs and delivering technology
products that create the most value. The role leads the entire lifecycle from ideation through launch and works closely
with other teams to integrate with the larger ecosystem.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates and leads a new team that will be responsible for product management and development enabling growth and scale for our business
- Defines, iterates, and owns product roadmap for assigned areas of responsibility and serves as the evangelist and voice of the customer
- Collaborates closely with Sales and Business Development to continuously identify and refine market opportunities and solutions
- Participates and leads customer interviews and discussions, surveys and focus groups to inform product roadmap
- Provides thought leadership and execution to understand and target technology opportunities that create the highest ROI
- Oversees UX efforts to ensure our users are at the forefront of the product development process; integrating market research, data and insights into design
- Defines a UX that seamlessly integrates into the broader Escoffier proposition
- Leads development and support team in an agile environment, managing internal and external resources while also partnering with other product teams and subject matter experts for larger enterprise opportunities
Requirements
- University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a product management, product development capacity
- Demonstrated experience developing products with best-in-class customer experiences with a focus on user centered design
- Experience creating user stories for business critical, complex systems
- Prior experience implementing new technology products and solutions with a focus on organizational change management, user adoption, and market fit
- Proven track record estimating projects and delivering on time and within budget
- Experience managing and delivering technology solutions in an agile environment
- Ability to mock up product ideas using tools such as Figma or Sketch
- Flexible to evolving responsibilities in a fast-paced, fluid work environment
- Excellent people manager who can be a hands-on player/coach

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business equipment. Sitting for long periods of time; up to 8 hours
of computer and/or phone work daily.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Majority of work is performed in a general office environment.
